on our way to our first night we stopped to look at some goats... girls got to stretch their legs....
then we found a park just before dinner...... lots of fun! this is where i got the text that Michale Jackson died that day....
the next afternoon, ...
we made it to "Grandpa John's and Grandma Donna's" cabin
and a photo opp. just a block or two from where Daddy grew up. ( what a yucky yucky lake)
the next day, .... dinner with "Little Mom's" family... at Aunt Donna's house.... she had a freezing river on her land. really it was very cold! and this was july!! we stayed there a few days. on the morning we were going to leave Donna taught Baba Loo how to like mice... (not going to get any lessons like that from Mommy.. so thank heaven for Aunt Donna)this was our last beach and it had warm currants in it so it would be : cold, cold, warm... cold, cold, warm. this beach was also full of crab shells and people burning drift wood it was cool.
after this we stayed the night in a motel with one queen bed. we just pumped up the air mat we had just been camping on when the motel management and security came to tell us we were not allowed to do that, when scooter came out of the bath (naked) both the security and manager started to laugh and said that if the mat was for our kids it was okay. lol... some people... i do not know what to blame the lame on .... was it just CA or was it that both of the individuals were senior citizens!
when all was said and done we went through : UT, AZ , NV, CA , OR , WA..... (sorry Mom at our house, I tried to call you but my phone was roaming and would not dial out.)
now for the bad news...... on out first night of camping ( after Aunt Donna's ) I was going to the bathroom alone (too many liquids before bed) and I hurt my foot running from imaginary cougars ... on the northern organ coast..... stop laughing...... :D I tore my arch from my foot... and I need surgery (to be done on Tuesday) to fix the problem. so is my life.

Sounds like tons of fun was had by all! Good luck with your surgery.
Oh, and just a little advice...never eat strange fudge that you find in the woods.
Sounds like you had a lot of fun. To bad you hurt your foot though :(
